From a simple idea, to a global community

Launched in Los Angeles in 2019 as a proof–of–concept with a small group of car–enthusiasts, The Motoring Club has grown into a much a larger community, gathering in spaces in West and East Los Angeles, San Francisco—and beyond very near on the horizon. Each space also features our full coffee shop and retail experience, Motoring Coffee, serving both members and the public alike.

Both ventures were created and founded by Michael Rapetti, a lifelong car enthusiast with a background in operations at a variety of tech companies. He’d always dreamt of a permanent cars and coffee destination, for a variety of likeminded enthusiasts to gather, seven days a week. Deciding to drop everything in New York and head back West, he immersed himself in the L.A. car culture and test if the concept had legs—thus The Motoring Club was born. 6+ years later and we’re continuing to grow our community and explore new territories together.
